Autosmart Wirral and North Wales hit their 25th year business anniversary

Bill and Karen Price the Autosmart Franchisee for the Wirral and North Wales celebrates 25 years of being the local supplier of chemical cleaning products to the trade.
25 years ago Bill hadn’t heard of Autosmart. He was reading a newspaper advert about a local Autosmart franchise up for sale, looked up and in his rear view mirror saw an Autosmart showroom drive by. He instantly knew this was a sign.
Bill Price says, “It was such a coincidence that I knew instantly that I had to follow the showroom and have a chat with the franchisee. We chatted for about two hours and it was that conversation that made me realize that being an Autosmart Franchisee was what I wanted to do. That night I called Autosmart…”
In 25 years Bill has continued to provide an outstanding service to local businesses and has built up strong relationships with all of his customers. Bill says, “I remember my first day out on the showroom, I was extremely nervous. I looked at my patch and drove to the furthest point, Overton on Dee. This is where I met my first customer, BJ Clarke who brought a barrel of TW39 off me and gave me the confidence to carry on. 25 years on BJ Clarke is one of my loyal and my longest standing customer.”
Today the Price Franchise looks very different. The fleet is made up of three Autosmart showrooms and Bill and Karen are supported by their team, Mark Price and Bobby Mclaughlin. Mark joined his dad around 15 years ago after completing his sports qualification and from being inspired by his dad. As a child growing up, Mark used to look forward to sitting in the showroom and asked his dad every day, “How have you done today?” Mark looks after the customers in North Wales and Bobby, who Bill has known since he was ten, joined more recently and looks after their local customers.
Bill says, “I never thought I would have a fleet of showrooms and I am extremely proud of what Mark, Bobby, Karen and I have achieved. Our success has been built on listening to our customers and taking on board their opinions and understanding their needs. They are the most important person in our business and I know we have done a good job when a customer, like BJ Clarke, stays with us for a long time.”
